Paul has been in the industry his entire career and has traded lumber futures since 1982 as a wholesaler and service to retailers. He is very familiar with both the futures and cash markets and has designed trading programs especially for clients. Over the past seven years, Paul has managed commercial lumber accounts ranging from producing mills, reloads, and wholesalers, to end users. Paul Court Company publishes the industry's original faxed lumber newsletter "Lumber Faxts," with over 350 worldwide subscribers.

In recent years, lumber volatility has been almost unprecedented, with prices fluctuating $200 (or more) per thousand board feet (MFB) for contract grade and other related lumber products. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Random Length Lumber futures and OSB contracts gives companies in the Forest Producers Industry a valuable hedging tool.
